A Study of the Impact of Value-Added Efficiency on Profitability and Market Value in the Indian Pharma Industry

The aim of this paper is to highlight the growing influence Intellectual Capital (IC) on profitability and market valuation, especially in knowledge-based industries. scope restricted Indian Pharmaceutical Industry, which highly dependent IC. This study employs measure Value-Added Coefficient (VAIC) assess impact IC valuation growth VAIC its components among companies over years selected for study. uses 22 listed Bombay Stock Exchange a period 12 from financial year 2008-09 2019-20. By using Path Analysis, demonstrates that have an ROCE value, has only grown as compared earlier studies & years. also high sales profits need not necessarily result VAIC.
